I was on the wonderland.tf surf_air arena map. The game includes autohop by holding space. It's built in.
I was just practicing jumping after binding jump to mousewheeldown. There didn't seem to be any immediate benefit to doing so versus holding space and letting the server plugin do the work.
I was talking with some friends in a server when I recieved a ban with the attached message:
Disconnect (Cheat: Banned for bhop cheats after 12 consec bhops)
Duration: 2 minutes
This happened last winter!
I thought at first just 2 minutes wasn't bad but I've come to the conclusion if I don't appeal I wont be unbanned.
3.) Tell us why we should unban you:
The map surf_air arena is designed to utilize both surf and bunnyhop mechanics. It has a plugin for autohop for anyone for use on the server.
Perhaps there is some overlapping code from the non surf wonderland servers that is carrying over to it.
It'd be nice for my seemingly permanent 2 minute ban to wear off
I love wonderland servers and this is the only ban I've ever received.
