Just ran across this situation in game:

If reds are instructed to "start obby" most of them end up walking to the finish line from the start line.
I get this.
Now, when giving requirements for completing obby by saying "no cheating. cheating is defined as going around, above or outside of the intended course", generally covers your bases as warden for making sure you're weening out players.

Heres my discrepancy:
Reds are instructed to "go through obby" no mention of "no cheating".
Reds go around obby from start to finish, without going through the course.

Are the reds who did so KOS?

If warden says that reds need to go through obby its obvious that the reds that decided to go around are kos.Since they did not go through they went around.

Yeah, if reds are instructed to go through obby, that is an order. Unless they are given anything that would overrule that then that order stands. Difference comes when the warden says "start obby" but doesn't define cheating etc so therefore in my eyes running round the side is ok.

You're instructed to 'go through', so going around isn't following that.
