Favorite basic weapon? Achievement Item?

What is your favorite basic weapon, if you had to choose one? also, what is your favorite achievement item?

My favorite basic weapon would have to go to the flamethrower (and reskins) because it's pretty well balanced. For the achievement item, it'd be the necro smasher because it has a godlike crit frequency.

If by basic you mean stock, Scattergun for sure. It's reliable, dangerous and surprisingly balanced.

Probably the Sniper Rifle, it gets the job done in most situations. My favorite achievement item has to be the Alien Parasite hat.

My favorite basic weapon is the sniper rifle. Mostly because when it is extremely satisfying when you land a headshot on a difficult target. My favorite achievement item is flare gun because it annoys people to death (hahaha get it? To death?? I'm so hilarious).
